About Henry

Henry

Henry spent the first ten years of his life growing up in the small rural town of Model, Tennessee.  He then moved with his mother, father, and sister to Clarksville, Tennessee.

Henry's trip from Tennessee to Texas with the Department of Defense had several stops along the way (Ohio, North Dakota, Texas, Berlin (West Germany), Nebraska, Indiana and back to Texas).  He now lives with his wife, Millie, in Texas.  His daughter, son-in-law, and two grandkids (Maddie and Zack) live nearby.

His profession (department store manager) was with the Post Exchange/Base Exchange (PX/BX).  He managed six large retail department stores for military forces around the country and in Germany.  When he retired, after thirty-one and a half years, he was the chief of the Construction and Equipment Division that was responsible for all major construction and major equipment acquisition worldwide for the PX/BX.  This allowed him to travel most of the fifty states in the union and visit most of the military installations in the United States and overseas, including all the military installations in Alaska and Hawaii several times.

His last position was on the staff of the University of Texas at Arlington Cross Timbers Procurement Technical Assistance Center, (Now APEX ACCELERATOR) where he retired after more than fourteen years. He conducted government contracting webinars/seminars and did one-on-one counseling with potential and current government contractors (small, medium-sized, and large contractors). He worked with federal, state, and local governments.

Henry is a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, manager, private pilot, author, Texan, teacher/counselor, Conservative, seventh-generation Tennessean, and Louie's buddy (Louie is Henry and Millie's Cairn Terrier).

He believes it is every American's responsibility to be patriotic.
